David Cook - Sunburn Banter & Lie - Patriotic Festival Va. Beach - 3/30/09

David Cook sings Lie at the Patriotic Festival in Virginia Beach on May 30, 2009. He talks about when he was invited to play the festival and how he's from Irish and English decent with "fair" skin but the promoters told him he'd be playing at night and he said, "thank god"! haha I taped close up to his face the whole time so you can really see all of his expressions. Just to let you know, I took about 3 or 4 pictures during the taping. I love this song and all the emotion he puts into it!

Oh thank you btlvr878! I'm usually the one commenting on other videos on how good their quality is! haha This was only the 2nd concert I've ever videotaped so I have a lot to learn! I finally went out and bought a Canon Powershot SX10 IS Digital Camera. I love the 20x Optical Zoom for pics and video and the stereo sound. So far I'm pretty happy with it.

Sorry but I just have him singing "Happy Birthday". I was so caught up in just enjoying the moment that I didn't video any more than that, but now wish I did! I was on the fourth row in front of Neal so we had a really good view. Just an amazing concert and a great weekend at the beach... can't believe it's all over. Just hoping I can see him and the EEB perform again soon!!!

You are welcome! It was amazing, wasn't it! He's so funny... did you see him playing catch in the sand with his boots on! I was 4th row in front of Neal and in front of the speaker so I'm still a bit deaf in my right ear! LOL I would follow this band around the country if I could and was independently wealthy!

anybody know what his shirt says? :) yep, we loooove the paleness! Actually I am also translucently pale of irish descent and worry every time I step out in the sun, let alone go to the beach! I feel his pain! dcalfan i know what you mean. I'm a nurse as well and its a look that breaks your heart.

Thanks so much for posting this. I was there and it was a fabulous concert. Your videos are wonderful quality. Watching this was almost like being back there. This man sets me on fire and I go into some kind of trance so I don't remember things very well when I'm watching him. Damn, he's so fine! So I'm glad to have the videos to watch. I'd follow them around too if time and money were not problems. Catch in the sand was a hoot!
