Haudenosaunee also called Iroquois Confederacy is made up of the Cayuga, Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Seneca and Tuscarora Native American Indians. They were some of the first tribes to encounter non-Indians. Today they successfully try to keep their traditional dances and languages intact. Here are some examples of their efforts. Haudenosaunee cultural leaders teach the American Indian Dance Theatre the dances of the Iroquois Confederacy.

  • All the way from Saskatchewan, I'm a teacher, this will be my tool for showcasing some homeland traditional dances. Nia wah

  • I found more and added them so the students and the tribal people can view, or pratice the dances and songs.

  • @acerb45666555 Hindus (mainly) live in India. Indians live in North America :-)

Sure, hindu person may say (in English) to be an "Indian" meaning he is from country named India (in English).

Perhaps you want to "correct" other English polysemes too? LOL, good luck, Don Quixote ;-)

  • so this is how my ansesters acted like

  • jhoso891: We need to leave the government out of this. The government is why so few Native people know who they are. Their elders were so afraid to speak of their native bloodline, for fear that their children would be taken away, that they didn't speak of it. The government has also chosen to dictate "who is Native and who isn't".

  • Thank you so much for doing this...
