Obama did not "inherit" anything. Who would want this job? Barack Obama would. And he got it. He got exactly the job he wanted. He sought out the position. He campaigned hard for the position. Do not ever pity Barack Obama for having secured the most powerful seat in human history. Mercy is for the weak, not the incalculably strong. Not the incalculably cruel and thoughtless and careless. For them we reserve anger. Past that, rage. And finally, wrath. Obama is no innocent. Obama is accountable.
