  • This is a modified sumo stance deadlift, which is why the hands are inside the legs. Agreed, his form is less than perfect.

  • He's an old guy, and it looks like he's trying hard. I'm very impressed. The average North American his age never steps into a gym. I'm from North America, so I do know. I know it's not good to generalize, I don't hate where I live, I'm just very impressed.

  • Teach him how to deadlift first!

If you are a trainer you should be ashamed of letting him lift with out first protecting him from bad form.

  • lololololololololol strong form there personal trainer! where the f*** is this so that nobody makes the mistake of hiring your ass?

  • wtf!!

  • He's lifting more than he should.

  • I hope the camera guy dies.

  • This is less than perfect form but @ 225 I believe the trainer was correct in letting him do it. 225 will not hurt your back unless you are extremely weak and ou have to have a lot worse form than this... Good job to both of you

  • lol this trainer is a deuschebag, he trains people and videotapes and puts them on youtube if they're not doing something right that he taught them. DUMBASS

  • ok i really really hope you did not teach him to deadlift like that because that is the worst form i have ever seen!! take off two 45lb plates and start over!!!

  • There are far worse form videos on YouTube than this guy. He's doing pretty well for a new lifter in his 40s (I think).

I do have to echo saiyanaim's comment, though. Don't get him lifting so much yet. Form matters.

  • if that was sumo stance then your a shitty ass trainer cause that was horrible and his back was rounded so hes gonna get hurt too
