  • i was wondering what was the cost from start to finish for the whole green house.

  • @youngsavage80 a lot more than I wanted to spend! the dome was cheap...it's the rest of if that cost a lot. It will be around $30K when complete.

  • was it hard to get a permit for a Rocket stove ? .. Also are you Going to Have fish to eat or just goldfish like your little greenhouse.. Im in Ct too so i wanna see someone either do tilapia in colder climates or trout even breeding trout an I know you'd figure it out lol

  • @Living4fishing permit? You're funny! ;-) I do have a permit for the greenhouse and it just states "wood heat" with not details. I'll start the system with koi or goldfish, then probably put in some trout or other native fish. It will be far too cold for tilapia and I don't want to waste the energy trying to heat the water that much.

  • I'm a new subscriber... I'm hooked and need more... soon!

  • @StaticMotions There's plenty of videos on this channel you can watch! The next release should be ready in a couple of weeks. ;-)

  • @web4deb yea that is alot but it looks like you did a great job tho.

  • @web4deb

:) he he, do agricultural buildings have a lot of regulations there? Also, you could get the heat from composting wood, which also produce co2. And it will meet the codes i recon. :) ( A bit wasteful with heat though, since you cant really turn it off when there is no need for more heat.)

  • Your videos are very inspiring. I'm an engineer and a gardener, and I enjoy building my garden projects as much as doing my gardening. I have plans to build a greenhouse and a methane digester this year. I will produce and store methane year round and use it for heat in the greenhouse all winter. I'd love to see you do a video on your control system for your greenhouse. Thanks for taking the time to produce these videos during a very involved project.

  • @WE3HINES There isn't a lot of ash...I'll probably have to clean it out every few days. There's a very good book that details how they work called "Rocket mass heaters: supperefficient woodstoves you can build" by Ianto Evans & Leslie Jackson that is worth the read. My next video will detail a few things, but not the detail that this book goes into.
