SF4 El Fuerte vs Zangief G1 Finals on XBL

here's another NON-CAMMY video. Since I've seen so few El Fuerte players, I thought I check out the replays from G1 to see what a good Elf player is like and here it is... El Fuerte is a pure mix up character, it's good to see a good player showing off his stuff...

for every one hit zangief does. fuerte has to do 3 to make it up.

you try fighting zangief head on with a character that dosent do even a quarte of the damage you opponet does. and top it off with him having the most health in the game; and you'd do whatever you could to win too.

You know, I think some characters have characters built to beat them, like with Balrog Dudley, I think Elf was made to cancel out Zangief, EVERY move he has can seriously punish him, even more so in SSF4 where he gets a slide ultra that aims RIGHT below his lariat

Your right, alot of Fuerte's move set is very punishable, BUT generally you need god lk reactions to punish or be dione warwick and guess. The only Giefs that consistently compete with Fuertes are the hardcore top 5 Jap giefs and a few USA Giefs like IFC cuz they in fact have God lk reflexes. 8 out of 10 vids on this matchup is a Fuerte winning. Further Gief's biggest adv, damage, has been nerfed. It was 5 5 in vanilla. 6 4 in super. 8 2 for everyone else who is not a Gief God.

@giograves You couldn't be more wrong on this, Zangief has so many moves that either beat or trade with el-fuerte on his main mix up game. And if you trade you are doing about 300% more damage. Obvious who has the advantage.

Low Tier, High tier, it don't mean jack. Its all about matchups. And this is a horrible matchup for Gief. The only thing that makes it somewhat even is the damage difference.That was in SF4, now in Super Gief was hit with the nerf stick HARD so this match goes in favor of fuerte by FAR!!!!

el fuerte is a very very low tier..so anybody who complains is just a big pussy cuz all they can do is uppercut and fireball...kick ass el fuerte
