I am still here and I agree that the kids love saying his name. Also, my older students had a speech contest recently and many of them chose to speak about Obama. I was proud.

Remember to watch the debate tonight. I see that Barack is promising a tax cut for all "working" people. Combine that with all the "stuff" he wants to do, and we should set all kinds of records for the largest federal debt ever. Not to worry, I kids can pay it.

Do you not think that the Dems want to balance the budget and reduce our debt? Isn't that exactly what Clinton did until Bush came in and ruined it? The fact is, you can have "free" health care (which is obviously not what universal health care is), still have a balanced budget, and not raise taxes on "ordinary" citizens.

Bush is a shmuk, no doubt about it. Clinton was amazing, he raised taxes to the highest rates ever and the economy continued to boom, that is not normal. When people have less money to spend, business usually suffer. Clinton ballanced the budget on the backs of the taxpayers and by cutting the military to dangerous levels. But you are right, he did ballance it (with the help of the republican congress). For a short period of time the govt. lived within it's means, maybe there is hope.
