Au Kai - Keola Beamer

My sister, her husband, and their 1 year old daughter just moved to Hawaii, so I had the idea to make this video for them.

Just a disclaimer, I'm not an authority at Hawaiian slack key guitar at all, I just found the tabs, listened to the recording, and played.

If you're curious, the guitar is tuned to F Wahine tuning, which is C, F, C, G, C, E (from low to high). The word "wahine" means "woman," and from what I remember from the liner notes of the CD, the tuning gets this name from the sweet sounding major 7th interval between the 5th and 1st strings (F and E) that the female guitarists were fond of.
