We're adding a few new skills in the Closed Beta 0.9.2 patch. Shown in this video are the Ranger skill Explosive Arrow (which accumulates fuse charges on enemies that explode after a timer) and the curse Temporal Chains (which slows enemies and the speed that effects on them expire).

  • Hey Can you check out my gaming channel, I currently have 4 Path of Exile videos, with 2 being uploaded the end of this week/ start of next week thanks!

  • @EternalSage07 YEAH!!! this is my fave genre!!! i'm excited for 2012 cause' of 3 titles; torchlight2, diablo3 & PathOfExile. at the least i'll play 2 of the three... :D

note: darkspore fail me... it just didn't "got me" when i tried it (like the TitanQuest). don't get me wrong those games are good.

  • @sircaw If you were paying attention then you'd notice that the flasks (they're not traditional potions as they're not expendable) have individual properties. There's one dictating the cooldown and normally another on magical or higher flasks to increase the rate at which the contents regenerate.

Try actually going onto the official website and signing up for the beta. Play awhile, experience all that the game has to offer and then maybe you'll have say in the matter.

  • @skippy13312000 What are you on about? One of the sole purposes for D3 being entirely online via Blizzard's dedicated servers is to thwart hacking and botting. You're sorely mistaken if you believe a multi-billion dollar conglomerate, such as Activision-Blizzard, is going to let hackers ruin their business. That's the least of their worries. I'd be more concerned with living up to the hype: The game has been on and off development for nearly a decade. Still, they've mighty big shoes to fill.

  • @gdummy2K11 That, and this game is free with the only potential cost being nominal aesthetic upgrades to your character. Theoretically you could play D3 and this on the side just to kill time on the weekends. They're entirely different experiences: D3 is more of a cooperative, story-driven game anyway. While PoE is going to be competitive with world PvP, ladder races to see who can level through the game the quickest and leagues to test one's mettle against others with whatever stipulation.

  • @skippy13312000 well as history dictates... Diablo series is arguably the best in the hack-n-slash / a-rpg genre. also, until diablo 3 comes out nobody really knows if it'll be good or not.

lastly, there so few decent game of this genre no need to bash any titles, just pick the one that you like the most
