installing microswitches makes the standard atari 2600 joystick very responsive!!! great way to bring back a dead controller (typically the contact pads are worn out)
Great work. If you really wanna use the original Joystick this is awesome. I mostly keep my joystick as decoration and use my Tac 2 or wico stick for joystick games. But really good work man.
In my experience of standard Atari joysticks, the 'ring' at the bottom of the white plastic shaft in the centre of the joystick breaks, long before the leaf switches (press pads) will. I know there is a redesigned part available in the US to replace this, but there must be a DIY solution.
