installing microswitches makes the standard atari 2600 joystick very responsive!!! great way to bring back a dead controller (typically the contact pads are worn out)

  • Great work. If you really wanna use the original Joystick this is awesome. I mostly keep my joystick as decoration and use my Tac 2 or wico stick for joystick games. But really good work man.

  • 80's songs ftw !

  • PUSH PADS!

  • i did this and it works great,

    THANKS

  • @marquis0r Hot glue? That stuff will hold houses together.

  • Hmm, interesting! I like it.

  • do you think hot glue is sufficient?

  • I bet this works better than the Flashback controller!

  • In my experience of standard Atari joysticks, the 'ring' at the bottom of the white plastic shaft in the centre of the joystick breaks, long before the leaf switches (press pads) will. I know there is a redesigned part available in the US to replace this, but there must be a DIY solution.

  • i have a third party controllers and i dont have money for the microswitches any ideas?
