Today we are going to show you part number TH846 from Thule. This is the Quest Cargo Bag. This cargo bag mounts to the top of any aftermarket roof rack or factory roof rack installed on the vehicle. The roof racks do have to have the crossbars that go left to right for this bag to work. It carries up to a 13-foot cubic capacity, so you can stuff all your gear in there with no problem. As you can see here, we have it on our vehicle now. We will go ahead and show you a close-up of how it gets attached to your vehicle.
As you can see here, there are four straps that mount the bag to the cargo carrier itself. There is one here, and one here, and of course two up front. And there is a simple, easy-to-use buckle design. We will take one apart and show you. Pretty simple. Just wrap it around your bar and run it through the buckle. Pull it as tight as you can and then wrap it through the other side. And then just tighten it up. Tuck away your excess, and with the remaining three you are ready to go.
Access to the bag is pretty simple. There is a zipper that goes all the way around the outside of it. And, as you can see, there is a weather flap that covers up the zipper, as well. And there is a nice little Velcro strap here to keep the zippers together, too. And that goes all the way around to open up to get to the inside. And when you have it loaded you can just go ahead and close it back up, put the zippers together, wrap them back together, and put your weather seal down, and that is it. And for loads that if you do not max up the capacity of the bag, you can actually cinch it up with these adjustment straps right here. They do come apart, but you can also take it and make it tight, too. It pulls up all the loose parts of the bag so it does not get caught up in the wind, so it does not create any unnecessary drag. One other nice little detail about that is it actually has built-in handles right here, too, so you can take it it fully loaded and just go ahead and carry it off the vehicle and put it back on. Use as a travel bag, too.
One nice addition to the Quest Cargo Bag is it does come with its own dust sack for easy transport and storage. As you can see here, we put it in the back of an SUV and it really does not take up all that much room. And there you have it for part number TH846, the Quest Cargo Bag from Thule.

Poorly constructed bag fell apart after 2 roadtrips. The PVC backing came off the nylon and stitching literally came apart.
