DC-4 taking off from Norman Wells, Northwest Territories, Canada. This plane, and 6 others like it, was built in the 1940s and is used to deliver fresh food to isolated communities in the Canadian sub-Arctic. Please rate this video.

  • where are this isolatet communities?

    do they still exist?

and where do they land with the DC4

  • This plane is in Mackenzie BC doing work for an upcoming film. I was watching it from the mill I work at as it was dropping fake bombs into Williston Lake... love this plane. Listening to those old engines at full throttle is music to my ears. Love it...

  • wish some of the C-54GM's, DC4M2's, C-4's, and C-5's were still flying.
