Back in the early seventies Nimbin became the alternative lifestyle capital of Australia. Many of the original communes are still set up today. In recent times Nimbin has become infamous for its annual Mardi Grass festival which celebrates marijuana use.
I interviewed Neil Pike, one of the original hippies to arrive in Nimbin in the 70s.

  • What a sick cunt!

  • what is that? is it a turkey or just a chicken

  • @perf5paul Dude, we could sit here for like a week talking shit, in-fact I can't believe how much we've already written, and I'm sure we're both over trying to explain our points to one another. I'm not going to change my mind and I'll stick to my word, so will you. You can have the last word, I'm out. Peace.

  • @mo0nbuggy Yeah alcohol was illegal, and YEAH LOOK WHAT HAPPENED THERE! bootleggers, gangsters, the mafia got its foothold in the US and ever heard of al capone? yeah prohibition was a real success. More problems if its legalized? What problems do pot heads cause? tell me? and tell me what DR's say its a "nasty little plant" name 1 . Considering I personally DR's who smoke pot. And DR's (worldwide) who prescribe marijuana to patients. You cant think for yourself . NO FACTS NO ARGUEMENT .

  • @perf5paul The difference being, Alcohol is regulated, pot isn't. Drinking once had it's own dogma, still does to some degree, lets not forget it was once illegal as well, look what happened there. Once pot is legalized and becomes socially acceptable (Not over night) more problems will be caused than it solves. Ignore the overnight statistics of other countries and look at the facts you try to ignore. Consult any medical practitioner that's not from Nimbin, it's a bad nasty little plant.

  • @mo0nbuggy Long term side affects, everything has long term side effects? but tell me what they are. Still nothing compared to the long term effects of fast food or alcohol? Ive been following 45 years of research. And yes people who do heroin meth speed and coke do use cannabis AND ALCOHOL. But its proven addictive personalities will determine if u become an substance abuser. The first drug I ever took (and everyone i know) WAS ALCOHOL! Isnt that the greatest gateway drug. FACTS NOT DOGMA.

  • @perf5paul Ok peoples health is a concern of course, more so than money? Who knows.

It's well known Cannabis has some pretty severe long term effects, no where near as bad as the hard shit, and I would even argue that it's not much worse than alcohol. But, it is also well known it's a gateway drug, not for everyone though. Every person I know who smokes hard stuff started on weed, I've visited jails and talked to inmates, everyone of them started on weed and ended up on hard stuff. Bad move.

  • @mo0nbuggy The answer to why not meth or heroin is very very simple. The more heroin you take you die of an overdose, if u take loads of meth you'll be awake for weeks develop physcosis and then die of an overdose, drink enough alcohol and you'll die of an overdose. Nobodys ever overdosed and died from cannabis EVER! cannabis is a benign substance which does not wreek havock with the bodys physiology like heroin or meth. Physical addiction in other words. mental addiction is different

  • @perf5paul I see your logic, but I just can't agree. If we legalize pot, why not do the same to Heroin or Meth?

I mean, the price for a gram of weed compared to either of those is minute, so why not use it?

If your right then the same people will still be doing the same drugs, nothing will change except the amount of income the government will get out of it and the way to see it the drug cartels will be shut down.

  • @mo0nbuggy exactly my point tho. you said legalizing it we'd have the same problems as alcohol. But you even admitted you wouldnt smoke it if it became legal. Thats the point ! , there wont be anymore problems than we already have. And as for the sole purpose of money, WHO DO YOU WANT TO GET RICH - the drug dealers (who deal to children) or the government (who regulates it R18+) and uses those billions to invest in health, education etc. Pot smoking will happen legal or not, so use it.
