Several police departments across the country are installing Rumbler sirens.

The sirens are designed to penetrate and shake solid materials causing motorists and pedestrians to feel the sound waves. It also penetrates into homes and apartments as well.

  • We have them in a couple of our units. People still don't pay attn. Just wish we could put those push bumpers to some good use.

  • Its a good idea. Considering how many people dont pay attention when they are fooling around with all the cool crap in their car. Phones, DVDs, Navigation Systems, Ipods, and all kinds of junk. You can always tell when someone with a great stereo system is coming no matter what because you can feel the bass. Basically police are doing to same thing just to add one more thing to make people get outta the way

  • regardless of the pros of this device ,i see to many hazards involved with the operator...hearing loss will ultimately occur with long term use...I won't install one on my rigs.

  • @Crazyfogfighter no i live in canada

  • @Crazyman1212 assuming CA stands for california, there is now way of such a law existing, since emergency response laws are state law, which apply state-wide.

  • the police/fire/hospital service vehicles in my city are not allowed to use sirens unless 10 metres from a busy intersection because some old people passed a law to get there beauty sleep, so they are not to be disturbed by emergency vehicles trying to save lives.

  • Great! More gadgets for the menaces. Are the AR-15's not enough?

  • we have them in our new pumpers

  • We have them in our Ambulance

  • makes you balls tingle

  • @Usersname1983 The sound is directional and they are mounted by the wheel wells or behind the front bumper/fascia so there isn't much noise backlash to the user.
