@majoremogirl My birds are doing little budgie bonding things watching this video too, they are doing a little dance on the top of their play spot and saying budgie bird. Aborigines were right to call this the "Good good bird", the budgerigar.

@budgielover12 I'm working with my parakeets. They are rescued adults. They freaked out even when I reached my hand in the cage to change their dishes. After only 4 days of holding millet in my hand for them, they are happily eating the millet with my hand next to them, and they don't freak out. The 1st day they wouldn't even eat it! They just looked at me from the furthest away spot they could get! Bribe your parakeet with millet! But only give the millet during training times.

I have a question, do you take your budgie outside?

I love how he just kicks the cage looking toy, so cute :)

My budgie is still scared of my hand...
I kept them for 1 month or almost and kept talking and talking to them!
WHAT DO I DO THEIR SCARED OF ME,AND MY HAND??
Oh and when i got them the pet perk said that they are too young to tell if their a boy or girl. So i'm guessing i have to wait 5 months 'till they understand more clearly like a adult that im not a predetor am i right or wrong???

my bird must love this she just tried to regurgitate
I got my budgie from a petstore when he was a few months old. Ive had him for a year now, but he doesn't play like yours does. He's too afraid. he doesnt like the venture far form his cage either. Is it because I didn't let him explore soon after i brought him home?

@PinkPearl2875 I think that may have been it. With Sven, I held him as much as could in the first weeks, and let him explore as soon as he was big enough not to get into trouble. Hand feeding helped too ~ maybe yours was a little too old to bond with you?

@snoogly Im getting a budgie soon and i was wondering if i should get its wings clipped so it dosent fly away when im gaining its trust and letting it explore?
