I got a chance to use it. Once the camera finds your location it takes about 30 seconds for it to find your location.

it's a nice camera though. i picked one up today.

negatively, it has no haptic like the st500 has but not too big of a deal to me.

postively, it no longer mutes the sound while zooming in movie mode. that's the reason that i returned my st500.
