Hi,
You are supposed to introduce new chickens at night.
You are exposing them to unnecessary injury and aggression.
Just like training dogs, you can train chickens.
There are some good resources online and books on how to do this correctly.

@kdunlap147 Three of our chickens died this past year.. We dont keep them penned up all day, we let them out for a few hours each day to let them roam freely as they please. Our Buff Orbington has just recently hatched out two cuckoo marans for which we got from our friend. They are about 2 weeks old now and when they get older we will let them roam along with the other chickens. Pretty much this is just a sleeping place at night for them. Let me know about any other concerns. Thanks, Brandon
