Obscure Movie #4 -- Hard Candy

A smart, charming teenage girl, Hayley probably shouldn't be going to a local coffee shop to meet Jeff, 30-something fashion photographer she met on the Internet. But before she knows it, she's mixing drinks at Jeff's place and stripping for an impromptu photo shoot. It's Jeff's lucky night. But Hayley isn't as innocent as she looks, and the night takes a turn when she begins to impose a hard-hitting investigation on Jeff in an attempt to reveal his possibly scandalous past.

The first song is Bjork's "Enjoy". The second song is "What Are You Asking Me?" by The Village. There are actually a few clips on youtube with this all instrumental song. Just do a YouTube search for the artist name and title and you should be good to go!

It bit strange isn't it that there's a picture in the movie where a girl is in her socks and underwear with her arms tied up?What kind of photography is that suppose to be?

umm ok, so i never really understood if jeff was a pedophile. did she find any bad pictures or not? all they showed was the picture of the clothed, dead, girl. i know he watched some chick die or something, but i was actually on jeff's side. not hayley's.

yes absolutely. There have been times as you can see I type my heart out and the message totally gets lost on You Tube.

Nothing wrong with discussing the twist b/c now that I've seen I want to hear your opinion - so that's great but for those who haven't seen it maybe you can give them the "spoiler" warning. Okay, I don't know what happened here. I replied to this yesterday but it doesn't seem to be here now. Do your comments seem to disappear, too? I've had other people say that it happens to them as well.

Anyway, I had just said that I'm glad you liked the movie and that I'm sorry that I spoiled a bit of it for. I didn't think that the twist was big enough to detract from the movie very much, but I do apologize if I gave too much away.

The conservationist reation made me die laughing. Overall excellent film even better if you don't know the plot twist before hand - actually I would have loved the pleasure of that experience. Thanks for your review though! I thought it was quite accurate.

cont:the role tiny bit. Patrick Wilson is a strong actor- no matter how hard he tried, I'm convinced that he doesn't have the natural dark-streak it authentically takes to sort of be wholly convincing. His acting was on-point-but he didn't convince me the way the guy in Little Children did(ugh!). Nevertheless this movie it totally - nicely done and well-worth seeing. It also has some serious "humor/dark humor" at different points.
