Blatz sponsored "THE AMOS 'N' ANDY SHOW" from 1951 through '53. However, because of protests from the NAACP, and their attempted boycott of Blatz, sales of "Milwaukee's Finest Beer" actually declined to the point where they decided it wasn't worth sustaining the series every week, cutting back to alternate week status in the fall of '52, then pulling out by the end of season two, effectively ending its network run [13 additional unaired episodes were syndicated with the rest of the series].

I don't consider Amos N Andy as racist - in todays time. I think the acting and actors in the series are superb. Most of the actors and actresses should have won Oscars and Emmys for their work. I can't think of any modern day show that is on the same par as Amos N Andy.
