Chapter 38

Ashley's POV:
Finally, the girls left. I mean, of course I liked that Justin had people who loved him, and actually his fans DID like him before I ever did...but still. It made me a little uneasy to see the boy I was falling in love with flirt with random girls in the elevator, and promise to come to their room later. I knew that it was just how Justin was, and I knew that he loved his fans, but knowing that didn't seem to help my jealousy at all.
"Ash, you coming?" Justin asked. I looked up and noticed that the three of them were already walking down the hall towards Scooter's room.
"Yeah, sorry," I said, shuffling to catch up with them. We arrived at Scooter's door, and we all filed into the suite when he opened the door. Caleb walked in to the room we were meeting in first, and he sat on the couch next to Ryan Good. Leslie walked in next, and she sat at the small table with Mama Jan. Justin was third, and he sat on another couch, next to his mom. I took one of the only places left to sit, which was on the second couch next to Scooter and his girlfriend, Carin Morris.
"Hey girl!" Carin said, giving me a little hug. I didn't really know her very well, but I had talked to her a couple of times during shows. And she was really cool. We still had to wait for Kenny to show up before Scooter could begin talking, so I pulled out my phone to play around on it and check Twitter. But to my surprise, I had a new text from Justin.

Justin: hey baby...look im not gonna bother you about what happened outside of caleb and leslies room earlier. But...I do want to apologize about the incident with the girls. I shouldn't have acted like that, especially with u rite there. Im just trying to be good 2 my fans.
Ashley: woah Justin. You don't need to feel so bad about it, I understand. They r so loyal to u and they deserve it.
Justin: thank you for understanding Ashley (: it means a lot.

Justin's POV:
I looked up from my phone. Ashley smiled at me, and I could tell she understood, but deep down I could tell there was a little bit of pain in her eyes. I felt awful. I really liked Ashley, and would never want to hurt her. Ever. But at the same time, I felt a huge amount of loyalty to my fans. They were the reason I was where I was, and they were amazing to me. I sighed and slid my phone back into my pocket, just in time for Kenny to walk in the door.
"Sorry I'm late bud, I was on the phone with the people," he said to Scooter. The people? Who was he talking about? They exchanged a few whispers that I couldn't hear. Kenny nodded at him and sat down in a chair, and Scooter stood up in the middle of the circle of people.
"So guys, thanks for coming. I know you probably have other things you'd rather do on our day off but this is important and it will only take a few minutes. We really don't have to discuss anything, I just have an announcement to make." Scooter began, all eyes on him. I wondered what could be so important.
"It's pretty good news actually," he continued. "The other day I was at an event, and I was introduced to one of the producers of America's Best Dance Crew. We talked for a while, and we had an idea. There's some kind of hip-hop dance thing going on close to here today, and the top two crews from the show, I aM Me and ICONic Boyz, are there signing autographs and stuff. So we thought it would be cool to surprise the fans, and have the two crews perform during the show. The judge, D-Trix, will also be there, and he's a big fan of Justin, so he's gonna come too and meet Justin, and then just hang out backstage. How does that sound to you guys?" Everyone nodded and gave their approval. Scooter then looked at me with a questioning look, waiting for my opinion.
"Yeah, that sounds sick," I said. It really did. I loved to dance, and it would be great to meet some of the best young dancers out there. There wasn't much discussion after that, and Scooter said that everyone was free to go. When most of the people had left, Scooter wanted to talk me, Caleb, Leslie, and Ashley alone.
"So guys," he said when the five of us were alone in the room, sitting around the table. "The crews are staying here tonight after the event they're at today, and I want you kids to make them feel welcome, especially the ICONic Boyz. They're a long way from their families and they're all really young. So just kinda get to know them a little. Alright?"
"Sounds good," I said, and the rest of them agreed.
