I currently teach in China and yes brainwashing does take place. Mao is still venerated as a great leader. The Chinese government continues to censor his many crimes. If you really care about China you would be objective enough to find out the truth about Mao Zedong- he was a power-obsessed dictator who stirred up violent Red Guards.

I hate Mao and communism, but im no fan of excessive capitalism either. Excessive capitalism = exploitation, corruption and greed.
