Chapter 13
*Christys House*
*Nicks POV*
Nick: So, will you tell me about the promise I broke?
*I waited for her answer. Please tell me Christy. I dont want to lose our friendship.*
Christy: No. Sorry.
Nick: What?!
Christy: I wanted you to figure out what the promise was!
Nick: But I know nothing about it. Not even a single detail!
Christy: But it doesnt matter now.
Nick: What are you talking about? I thought this promise was a big deal to you.
Christy: Yeah, it was. But would I ever lose a one of a kind friendship just because of a promise? Nick, you are my best friend and I would never want to lose someone who would write a beautiful song just for me.
Nick: So were cool?
Christy: Were cool.
*We hugged a meaningful hug. I was so happy to have her in my arms again but I still wish I knew the promise. We let go and I grabbed my guitar.*
Nick: I guess I better go now.
Christy: Why?
Nick: Dont know. Maybe just to have some lunch.
Christy: Well I wanted you to have lunch with me. I get pretty lonely when Kaylas not around. And besides, I cooked my familys famous Mac N Cheese.
*I looked at her eyes. She really became prettier after five years. And I didnt even have lunch yet, not even breakfast.*
Nick: Okay. I couldnt resist your family recipe anyway.
*I put my guitar down and followed her to the kitchen.*
Christy: While were eating, tell me about the dream youre practically living in right now.
Nick: Okay.
*I set the table and she put the meal at a serving bowl. Before you know it, we had our lunch and a real conversation for the first time in five years.*
