Migingo is an island that has grown out of fishing. Fishermen bring in their catch and sell to Kenyans waiting to transport them back to Kenyan mainland and sell them. The fishermen on the other hand need food, clothes and shelter and these they get from Kenyan tradesmen, hence Migingo grows out of a trading centre. In such an inter-dependent society then, where does the row come from? Hussein Mohamed now tells us why these people want the truth established, that there is no row as such, but a clash between Kenyan and Uganda leaders on the islands to control the millions of shillings generated there from fishing.
