PULSING
University of Colorado Science and Engineering building, 2009
Site: UCCS, Colorado Springs, CO.
Dimension: 12 diameter
Medium: Foucault pendulum, black granite, stainless steel, water, electronics.
Commissioned by: Colorado Council on the Arts

Description: The artwork site at the Science and Engineering Building comes with a Foucault pendulum. The artwork consists of a whirlpool, centered on black granite paving, surrounded by a stainless steel border band. The Foucault pendulum is incorporated into our artwork to form a single interactive devise, with embedded biofeedback electronics to provide a physical feedback loop between the viewers and the Pendulum Artwork, letting the viewers heart rate control the vortexs intensity.
