Fire swallows 350 homes after gasoline accident, thousands left homeless

Authorities in the Philippines are stuggling to provide accommodation for thousands left homeless by a fire, which also killed two people. It's thought the blaze broke out as gasoline which a man was pouring near an open stove caught light. The fire lasted for hours, racing through some 350 shanties in two crowded fishing villages. One of the victims was an 8-year-old girl.
