Well guys, here is ANOTHER AMV right off the bat from a very awesome OVA based on the hit cultural phenomenon known as "Gatchaman"! For those of you who don't know, "Gatchaman" was a sci-fi action series produced by Tatsunoko in the early 70s that was responsible for not only showing a great deal of depth and angst for an action anime for its time, but was also responsible for kickin' off the Super Sentai craze that still exists today. In 1994, Tatsunoko decided to celebrate the legacy of Gatchaman with 3 OVAs that not only featured revamped character and mecha designs, but re-told some key moments from the original series.

I hope this will get you interested in checking this OVA series out, and hopefully it does justice to the show without me over-imposing anything upon what you're seeing. The music track featured is T-Square's "Control", from their amazing 1990 album entitled "Natural". This video was completed over the Memorial Day weekend, but I thought this would be a good way to open up the month of June. Like always, be sure to watch, comment, rate, share with others, and most of all, enjoy!! Thanks again for your support!! ^__^

P.S.: These are the same folks you'll find in Capcom's recent fighting game hit "Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom".

Sorry for the late response basstax, but thanks so much for watching. I hope you enjoyed it man, especially if you dig jazz fusion. If you want to see other vids like this, please subscribe to the channel mate. Til then, keep on rockin'!!! ^__^

  • Hey, that's a great promo video! I think I know of the series, but never watched it, which is embarrassing, because the art would've gotten me in from the start. I love technical drawings, and you show them off really well here. Don't you just want to enroll in a Japanese design school to learning this art? :) Thanks!

  • @WindCorsia

It would be great if I did man!! I agree, the mech designs were done well for this OVA, but I really need to see the original series if I can. Thanks for taking the time to watch this Corsia, you rock!! :D

  • AMAZIIIIIIIIING...THANKS FOR THE LINK! I DO ENJOY IT

  • @dewo662002

I don't think the DVDs got a UK release but I suppose I could get them on import. My mate HokutonoSHOCK has done that in the past. I did see a couple of episodes of the original. I'll have to go back to watching them again.

  • I got to give you some major Props, I've seen so many great Amv's but this one is in my Top 10 I ever seen! This was very professional, if this was a promo on Tv for this Series I would of thought it was the official Video by the production company. The music choice was perfect thats good music, however what got me the most was the scenes you included, editing, etc. I didn't know about this particular latest OVA, but I knew about this classic series. Your good at this, enjoyed it Fav'd !!!

  • @YoikoHibiki

Oh hell yes, that's where I got the footage from. I bought this DVD while running a high fever in the middle of my freshman year of college back in 2001, and it still works. I guess Pilotwings + Gatchaman equals high-flying fun, eh? Thanks again for watching Yoiko...You're the best...AROUND!! ^__^
