Stare polskie tango x 2 (56-57): "Jesień" - "Zapomniana piosenka", Tadeusz Miller, 1946-47 !

Photos made in Pieniny mountains, Southern Poland, close to the boundary with Slovakia,
late September and the first half of October, 2009.
As well as in Szczawnica, the little town situated among the m/a mountains, known for its beautiful place and nature as well as the climate and unique mineral waters which made this area since early XIX century a place of cures and health recoveries.
The founder of Sczawnica resort was Józef Szalay.
In Szczawnica, a lot of their time used to spend famous writers, poets and artists, the traces
of whom I tried to expose in the second part of the video - Henryk Sienkiewicz, Ignacy Kraszewski, Stefan Frycz, Maria Konopnicka and many others.

The visual trip is accompanied by two old Polish tangos: "Jesień" (Autumn) and "Zapomniana piosenka" (Forgotten Song), both composed by Jan Markowski and both recorded by Tadeusz Miller for Mewa-Melodje company in Poznań, 1946-47.

No sound modification during transfer from the 78originals was applied.

Dedicated to the memory of Jerzy Pytasz (1932-2007) who loved Szczawnica and Polish tangos.
