I always did think this was the scariest Godzilla movie, it's also the only one of those SEQUEL TO THE OIGINAL FILM that really works as a sequel.

1998's "Godzilla" should have followed the formula of this movie. The Zilla, design wasn't that bad actually, what really messed up that movie was too much joking around, no sense of danger, a bad script, and no Godzilla death ray. I mean, come on. How can you have Godzilla without his death ray?!

History shows again and again how nature points out the folly of men - GODZILAAAAA
For once they should use Blue Oyster Cult's song for soundtrack

This is the darkest scariest Godzilla movie. It has a dark gritty theme and style. It scared me when I was little but I loved it lol. It was also the first Godzilla movie I ever saw around 1996 or so when I was little. I think it's the best one honestly.

well, if you read my description, this is a slideshow. In my dictionary, a slideshow is a collection of images shown in consecutive order

kinda confusing, if it was 1985 30 years after he appeared that would trace back to 1955 godzilla raids again. but the movie was made in 1984. but on the trailer it says he was born in 1956 very confusing

allow me to explain. The Japanese version of the first Godzilla film took place in 1954, the Americanized version (Godzilla: King of the Monsters) took place in 1956. The Japanese version of Godzilla 1985 takes place in 1984 (thus, 30 years after the first film). The Americanized version of Godzilla 1985 (taking place in 1985) makes a lot of sloppy mistakes and unnecessary changes. Basically, there's two versions to both the first film and this one and only the Japanese versions truly corelate.
