I get annoyed when people diminish QUALITY news outlets like WIS with descriptions like "small market station". Especially when WIS basically was a statewide station, the largest station in the state, the default NBC affiliate in THREE markets until the 80's (when Augusta's NBC affiliate finally boosted their power beyond that of a 9 volt battery) and TWO markets until 2 years ago when an NBC affiliate was created in Florence/Myrtle Beach.

I love that they incorporated "Carolina's News Channel", playing off the fact that they were using Newschannel at the time.

It's a syndicated jingle that is customized for stations all over the country by Frank Gari.

That song was used on Miami's ABC affiliate WPLG, but it was "The One and Only Channel 10".
