A look at China's legal system through the lives of petitioners in Beijing. From escaping black jails to suddenly being made homeless miles away from their families, it's not an easy life.
I have visited the State Visit and Letters building shown in this video, It was inside that building where I first heard Ying Shan Hong. An old petitioner sang it and the guards were aggressive. I went inside and when I came out Petitioners told me had been punched in the mouth and dragged off, bleeding heavily, into a car and taken away. There is no Justice or hope in this building. The Petitioners are not criminals. They are ordinary Chinese with legal issues.
