One of the more obscure cases of alleged vampirism, In 1784, Isaac Johnson, a humble, dying man from Willington, CT, sought the help of folk remedy against the spectral attack by his two young children who preceded him to the grave with consumption. The Isaac Johnson case precedes that of the Staples and Burton cases, making it potentially the earliest case of alleged vampirism in New England history.
