    Watch out for the idiots in automobiles. I rode over three years, 20+ miles a day average through heavy traffic and never got hit. Six months ago some moron not paying attention rolled though a stop sign which cut me off causing me to deflect off the side of their SUV then hit the pavement going over 20 MPH into oncoming traffic. Broke a collarbone and two ribs. Luckily there was no cars behind me in the center lane. Stay on streets with speed limits below 40 to minimize risk.
