This is the an introduction to the materials and tools you can use to bake prosphora. I explain a little bit about how you can use a standard mixer to knead dough. I have revised the end to discuss the topic of 'whole wheat flour' and why we don't use it in prosphora baking (I've this section for clarity and republished the video). In the second episode, you will see the actual dough making, loaf shaping and baking.

  • There were a slaves in the Church?

  • @TheLightFollower - No, but there were in the Roman Empire in which the Church existed.

  • @PresbyterGeorge didn't the Russian Church, at one time, own Serfs?

  • @thatUkrainianguy - I'm not sure, since I'm not a Russian history expert. However, according to the canons, the Church does not hold slaves. Serfdom is kind of a weird topic, since it is not quite the same, but involves attachment to the land rather than a person.
