NESBOUND Project Part 1

*If the video is cut out, I'm sorry... I was in a hurry, so I didn't check how well it converted...*

So... this is NESBOUND. As the name implies, it's EB's songs downgraded to 8-bit. I chose this game because it has wacky music, and I thought it'd be a good way to practice tracking.

This video has three tracks, as follows:

1-Your Name, Please
2-Battle Against a Mobile Opponent
3-Battle Against a Weak Opponent

I'll be releasing the works as a collection, like this vid. Stay tuned for more!

it's too bad the NES isn't capable of the crazy random vibrato of the main part of the mobile enemy song. I think that's what it is, anyway. I can't remember. I reproduced that sound somehow in something else but I know the NES probably can't cover that range in that short amount of time. also a missing portamento here and there that i'm also fairly sure couldn't be done. it's a cruel song.

can't say I like your rendition of the weak opponent song though. I know for sure that one can be fixed

Well, my main goal when making those tracks was to make it an official NES soundtrack. So, I just tried to get the essence of the song and fit them into those 5 NSF channels. I could try adding all the sounds, but that would mess all the song up, and that's what I'm trying to avoid.

And the NES CAN make that sound effects. The problem is the channel limitations :/

@Ilovemariofan just take 40 songs from earthbound and you're done. most of the songs from earthbound are remixes of MOTHER, or Earthbound zero.
