Sorry, but this is really much closer to Sambusak and not Bourek. Bourek must be done with Phyllo dough and have at least 5 layers which these cookies aren't.

These look great -- my Sephardic family gets borekas ever Rosh Hashana! We have something that's more of a spiral shape - but it's not a bulema since it's still phylo dough - would that still be considered a boreka or is there another name?
