A group that I'm really starting to like a lot; The Twenty-First (21st) Century Singers. This group consists of 3 gifted individuals: Johnny Whittaker, Lula Jordan, & Charles Miller. Here, they sing a live rendition of "Swing Down Chariot," which is from their album THE STORM IS PASSING OVER (Nashboro Records).
Pianist: Gerry Jones
Organist: Freddie Daniels (former organist for Clara Ward).
Like this arrangement...can you give some info about this group?
Are they still performing?

@miditrax: This group started as as 12-member ensemble, but because of cutbacks, surrounding high traveling expenses and some other things, only 3 members remained: Lula Jordan, Johnny Whittaker, & Charles Miller. All of them had musical experience prior to the 21st Century Singers. Lula worked with the Paul Kelley Band and sung background for other groups. Johnny was the director of the B C & M Choir of Nashville. Charles sung with a group called the Henry Edwards Specials.

@miditrax: In addition, the 21st Centry singers have recorded with many singers, including Clara Ward (they're on her Nashboro album ESSENCE). Also Donna Fargo, Cleophus Robinson, Ray Stevens, Charles Brown, and many others. Johnny Whittaker, the soprano of the group, passed away. I'm not sure of when though. As far as the other 2, I'm not sure of their whereabouts and I'm not sure if they're still performing. I hope that this has helped. Take care & God Bless!
