@raconter1 That it does. I prefer the 1960 Buick over the 59, but that's not a bad looking vehicle either.

@Checkerholic Hey, Ken! Thanks for the information...I truly believe these were original to the car. I agree the die cast models I have are very good at reproducing original features...even the inexpensive ones I have. Thanks! :) Jack

I can't say that the bucket seats were available in the 1960 Invicta but they were available in the 1959 Electra. It would seem based on that they were probably available in 1960. They look like the correct style for the 59 and I doubt that they changed the basic seat design for 1960. I am basing my statements on a die-cast model of the 59 Electra. The better die-cast models are usually a fairly true representation of the real car.

@monarch1957 Hey, Barry! I definitely agree with that...I knew a guy who had a 59..the grille was very "fussy" and almost a copy of that block style grille of the 58. It was definitely a move in the right direction to move to a more conventional grille. The lack of color in today's interiors is my biggest gripe with the industry. Thanks! :) Jack

@gene978 Hey, Gene! I figure that might have been part of a "custom" package. I hope an owner can clarify that. These almost had an airplane look with those elaborate canted fins! Glad I could help with the memories!
Thanks! :) Jack

@cheddyrod Hey, Chester! I was surprised too...I chalk it up to "custom", possibly a package that included bucket seats. Yes indeed, this would have been a pretty speedy full sized sedan! Thanks! :) Jack
This car is stunning, Jack, really stunning! I haven't seen one of these for years, it's absolutely beautiful!
One of the things I love most about 1950's styling, is that each car, regardless of manufacturer, always looked just as luxurious as the next, and they were all very well built with quality materials! A by-gone era very sadly missed in my opinion :(

@drewerz01 Hey, Mike! Yes indeed, competition was very high among manufacturers! They really paid attention to sales totals...and a car like the GTO could catapult Pontiac way up in the ratings. The sole sore spot at times was the issue of plastics...most of the cars I video have had them replaced or they have lived charmed lives under cover. I think they lacked ultraviolet protection...and the current batch certainly is the better for these early uses of plastic. Thanks! :) Jack

Nice looking car. I've always loved 1959-60 Buicks.

@Seattlecarnut Hey, Jason! Yeah...their styling is fresh...not quite like anything else at the time! In a way, looks more futuristic than most! Thanks! :) Jack
