Jay Flippin leads the Dr. Jay Jazz Band through his instrumental chart of the Sinatra classic, as the walk-in music for the vocal performance by pal Kenny Ray, with Bass-Tyrone Wheeler, Drums-Bruce Morrow, Guitar-Ron Davidson, Trumpet-Ansyn Banks, Tenor Sax-Tim Whelen, and Bone-Mike Smith.

  • That is a mean trombone.

I am sampling this song, and making a hip hop beat out of it for myself.

    Hope you don't mind.

  • 素晴らしい。ありがとう。

  • I try to have one run through of each song with the band on the day of a performance. However, that's not usually possble on a cruise ship. The musicians will refuse to rehearse, as they play many sets each day, and can play every piece well if there is a prepared chart or at least a fake chart with melody and chord symbols. Good luck! k-ray

  • Just curious...

How much rehearsal time went in to these performances? I've been considering playing on a cruis ship, but I'm not real familiar with the level of musicianship.

Just kind of wondering what to expect.
