Actually, the date I gave above was wrong - it's Friday 15th January 1988, so post-Milne and, topically, just after Michael Grade had left for Channel 4 (mainly because he'd disliked John Birt at LWT and didn't want to work under such a tense political climate).
And although it's hardly subtle, that sketch really nails Points of View, specifically the hammy, exaggerated accents to represent certain areas, on the assumption that They All Speak Like That Up There. To think it has outlived Right to Reply ...

I think this is probably Friday 2nd January 1987 - shortly before Alasdair Milne was sacked. David Allan is the announcer.
