@Annique We have a law that no hospital can turn someone away in an emergency,so in effect we all have emergency care in the U.S, whether or not we can pay. It is definitely a touchy subject though, about religious freedom and parents rights! But there are no kids dying from lack of healthcare in America, that's an election year myth!

This is quite a series and very interesting. It is a shame that Amish bishops have (nearly all, if not all) forbidden the Gospel of grace in order to preserve their lifestyle. The singing reminds me of Appalachian shape-note singing.

@Annique In USA its all about corporate greed. The value of your life is worth nothing. Bullsheet talks money walks!

I see what you are saying. However, the treatment of the cancer is a gift from the Divine. They are thanking the Giver rather than the gift. Let's hope she recovers. The Lord is bringing us ALL to community, unity and relationship in the end.

that kid wont stop picking her nose lol
@Ilovenausicaa I'm Dutch and I just can't imagine a country that would allow a child to die if her parents could not afford to pay for her treatment. Here we all have healthcare, it's absolutely required. But because everyone has it, cost has been quite low. It's been steeply on the rise the past two decades though, and there is upheaval about the introduction of the free market in healthcare and the recent budget cuts. But even now it's MUCH cheaper and better than it is in the US.
