Yes he was. We used to go and watch them in some seedy club in London. I have just been looking at the photos of them I have. Brings back memories for me and my girlfriends.
Great track from 1st album dating back to about 1965. Still got the record and it's been played a few times now. Think Ray Sone was still with them on this
The original version was an American named Larry Bright, which was released in 1960 on the Tide label.

That seedy club was probably Studio 51 in Gt Newport St, and yes I was there at that time.
I still have their first album..Terrific!!!!
