Colonial High School Marching Band 007 Show, Orlando Florida October 1986.
Band Director - Patrick Culler
Drum Major - Darrell Loper
CHS was one of the largest High Schools in the state of Florida in the 80s. The band that year was a power house about 250 pieces. Most of the Bands in Central Florida are not that big any more. You can also see the huge auxiliary we had. Flag Corp, Rifle Team, and Baton Majorettes.
Patrick Culler was band director in 1987 and later transferred to become the first band director at University H.S.. He passed away sometime in 00-01. His dedication to music and ability to bring out the very best in his students is now Legacy with the CHS and UHS Band programs.
I used my digital video camera to video this already poor quality old VHS Footage from the Class of 1987. Just wanted share the show until I can come up with a better copy. eric@thesubreport.com

What a blast from the past. This was absolutely the best halftime show. You can't beat 007. Thanks for posting!

Wow. I was a student and in the band at UHS, but moved after my sophomore year in 1999. I had no idea he died until today. Very sad. I can barely remember 90% of my teachers, but I have his image in my head like I just saw him yesterday.

I was in band at UHS when he passed away. It was very sad. He was literally one of the most brilliant teachers I have ever had the pleasure of being taught by.
Thank you so much for posting this
FYI - He passed away sometime late 2000.
