what if i just have an electric stove, is there an alternative way to use besides gas stove?
-
What is your mesh made of?

@charmschoolcrafts so you can make it with a stove and not a kiln? A kiln is too expensive for me, and so is a torch.

Question, ma'am. Does any gas stove work for firing? Kilns are too expensive for me and I am scared of using a handtorch.

Hi, I've used quite a lot of different domestic stove tops with no difference in results, and when I'm teaching or doing demos I use a camping gas burner which runs off a butane cartridge. The important thing is that the piece(s) your firing are heated to a dull orange glow for the full 3-5 minutes after the binder's burnt off so that the sintering process can take place. For best results, a good rule of thumb is to keep pieces no bigger than about 1.5mm thick and 25mm diam. Hope that helps!
