I agree that it isn't train tracks. However lack of rails doesn't necessarily mean a location was never used for train. If it was shut down before/during WWII for example, all the rails would've been striped for the war effort
Anyhow this is just a path. Wide enough that it looks like it was manmade. Probably used by some Indian tribe a few hundred years ago You would be surprised how many roads in NJ today got their start as as paths used by various tribes, which is why so many are named after
