  • That, my friends, is how a bass guitar is meant to be played: So aggressively it needs to be replaced for the next song.

  • An absolutely frightening bass solo . . .

  • So fucking RAW!!!

  • So fucking raw!!

  • There is bass and then there's......Geddy Lee bass.

  • @Ekkyzor Geddy uses Orange bass heads and a Sansamp RPM pre amp along with other devices. You can find the rest of it on Geddy's article on Wikipedia ("Bass guitar amplification").

  • Can anyone tell me how to get this kind of bass tone? It's absolutely amazing!

  • @supersport267 im on your side 100%. Rush deserves EVERY right to be in the hall of fame everywhere. Its amazing how they can put up with each other for 38 years and still write amazing works of art that sounds like there is at least 6 people in the group. Plus, all 3 of them are officers of the order of Canada! Absolute nonsense in what this steveo1983 is saying. Rock on!

  • that Bass action is SHOCK AND AWE

  • Yeeaaa!!! GEDDY!!!!!!

  • @steveo1983 i want them in there, perhaps people will find out how epic they are. But agreed that its a joke who they let in there. Rush is home to 3 of the best musicians of all time who make good music. there are plenty of great musicians of various instruments who lack the chemistry of playing with their bandmates. not the case here. Im a rush fan forever, and no band will ever be as phenomenal as them in my opinion.

  • Loved this song ever since i first heard it.. the bass in this song may be my favorite of any song ive ever heard. If you loved this bass, look up "marathon" along with anything from "power windows" album, yes its less "rock-ish" but the band shined brighter in the 80s than every other band. 9 platinum albums in a row - only two bands beat that - beatles and stones... its a crime against humanity to not accept these guys into the hall of fame WITH an appology that it took so long.
