Actually, Jimmy Page didn't play the triple neck, that was JPJ, Jimmy played the double neck and he wasn't the first to do that.

Jimmy never played, to my knowledge, a 3 neck guitar in public. You might be referring to his Gibson double neck EDS 1275 that he used for "Stairway", "Rain Song" etc. Jimmy saw bluesman Earl Hooker playing one and had to custom order it. John Paul Jones had a custom instrument with 3 necks. Never got a good look at it. Anyone know anything about it?
