Holy crap the graphics were terrible back then! ~It has improved so much more with SC2. Well that being said nearly 10 years has passed...lol
-
why didnt he get +1?
-
he woulda won extremely easily if he invested 100 more gas to get +1
-
To all those saying templar or reaver/shuttle, realise that toss committed to a 4 gate timing attack with zealots legs, this build was very much all in at that time as the toss forces the zerg to build lings. There was no sair/reaver build at that time and if this all in failed and toss would be on 1 base without any cannons to counter the in coming mutas.
-
The protoss build was a very all-in strategy. If you watch closely, he was only mining enough gas to get zealot legs and nothing more, in order to support four gateways from one base. throughout the game he was unable to set up the protoss ball or wall that is needed to defeat zerglings. Savoir was able to pull off great surrounds on his zealots with his zergling micro.
It is almost necessary to have two bases to support a reaver harass, because it is so gas heavy.

trust me he is not a noob if he could he would have done so

one of the shocking games of savior.. commentators kept saying.. ' if protoss cant defeat savior by this way.. there is no other way to defeat this guy'
-
or make templars?????

He made huge mistake by not blocking saviors ramp when he beat his natural, this way his reinforcements would be stuck in main.

The toss attacked the sunkens at the end because he had already lost. He did an "all-in" strategy; he did an early 4 gate zealot rush and played really aggressively, sacrificing his economy (no expansion). After his first two attacks failed he had already lost the game; he was too far behind. He had nothing to lose by attacking at the end.
