  • Oh man - words fail me :D

I just discovered you guys last year and have been caning Colossus and El Producto ever since.

One question - is that Orestes on drums?

  • Zach Danziger.

  • this is freaking great. when is this movie coming out? if the audio is good, this'll be fantastic. love walt mink. candace belanhoff, good god, what a bassist.

  • Let's say fall '08 and it's done. The actual audio IS stellar. This is just a junk track we used to sync picture by eye. You're going to love it.

  • Soon, my friend. Soon.

  • Audio recording is a phasey mess. Just a reference track we used to cut picture but gives you an idea...

  • I see they played recently in Brooklyn. Are they gonna be touring/playing anymore shows? Maybe another in NY.

  • hip music for hip people

  • Just come home from being stood up. Waited 2 hours in the restaurant with all the waiters and waitresses taking pity on me and giving me free drinks, etc. She then 'texted' me at 9:45, 3 hours after our 'date' to say 'sorry' (no explanation) and to see if we can 're-schedule. Should I just tell her to go fuck a large moose?

  • AMAZING!

  • ya, Belanoff is a totally under-rated bassist. Thsi is gonna sound sexist, but women in rock tend to not be super technically proficient as musicians. All of the guitar etc heroes tend to be men. But Candice really had her groove together. Esp during the early days (e.g. the "Little Man" demos) the bass is almost another melody line, and years of listening to Stevie Wonder (and not punk) developed her cool off-rhythms.

    Great track-- thanks for posting.

  • Be the ball...be the ball

  • THANK YOU ! I would love to have seen these guys! I wore out my cds.

  • nice backdrop paintings. those symbols are from the work of scientist wilhelm reich, goes great with the music

  • El Producto is such a good album. I reviewed it for some San Diego 'zine when it came out and remember thinking, "This is going to be one of those bands who become huge and I'll be able to say, 'Yeah, I knew them back in '96.'" Wish I could have been right. Walt Mink deserved so much better.

  • Great performance.
