This is borderline Gospel music. They played this at one of our foster-parent meetings years ago. ...hardly a dry eye in the room.

I love this song, and for a long time we did a skit every year at church to this song.

@hsof4 nope, just takes away the freedom to CHOSE god over evil... violates free will

i used to sing this song on keroake sp?........but it was one of my favorites to sing along with johnnys daddy

my best friend went through this...she got away from being hit, her two little brothers are still there unable to get away and she now has a 4 yr old little girl she has to take care of though she wishes she could run and take her brothers home with her

@hsof4 Ever heard the saying, "if you love them set them free." And I was refering to the global climate. The two frozen poles are what keeps our climate steady. God sees our treatment of each. God is love. Most murder is committed out of hate. Hate is the absence of love therefore the absence of God.

@hsof4 that poor child wasn't being punished. He and many others suffer because poverty. We are responsible for their fate because of the economy we invented. We put value on things that are unnecessary for our survival and unfortunately many value wealth over life. we in America pay farmers to not harvest grain so the price doesn't fall. Grain that would sufficiently to feed millions.

@flynstl1 Actually, scratch my first response. I wouldn't make humans robots. I would make them so that they would never want to cause harm to others. Let them have free will to do what they want, but make it so that things like murder and rape never ever fall under the category of things someone would want to do. Doesn't sound like something too hard for a perfect omniscient god to accomplish.

@flynstl1 The world wasn't made for us nor were we made for the world. Rather, the species that exist now were able to adapt to what the world was and is. Millions of species have gone extinct because they were unable to adjust to the world's conditions. Climactic conditions? Try going to Death Valley or Antarctica and tell me that those are good weather conditions. People go there for research but wouldn't be able to survive long term. We make our homes where we can survive. We adapt.

@flynstl1 Ah yes, free will. The handy little thing that lets murders, rapists, etc. do what they do to other people. If I were god, I'd rather make humans be robots than the truly despicable monsters that some of them are are. By the way, what did that little kid do to deserve to be starving and having a vulture stalking him, waiting for him to die? He must have done some pretty awful things.
@brigidtheirish Actually, the song says right near the beginning "Two non-believers walking lost in this world." Again, if there was a song about extremely abusive parents who drank excessively, did drugs, and were specified to be Christians, it would be the most offensive thing in the world. But since it's two atheists, anybody who's offended is just missing the point of the song... which is definitely not at all that you need to have Jesus in your life to not be a horrible person.

Wow, I can't believe that people actually leave comments as negative as some have. You have to let your views on religion get in the way of what is at stake here. It is that way of thinking that causes so much pain in this world. SHAME ON ALL OF YOU! Children the world over go through this every day, the audacity of some people! Boohoo, Christians hate atheists, boohoo religion is my enemy, whine whine, atheists hate me, cmon wake up! use some of that energy to help a child somewhere!
