Retire Your Ride is a national program that is designed to effectively "retire" 1995 and older model cars off the roads. The vehicles that are retired will be recycled in an environmentally responsible manner and will help to improve Nova Scotia's air quality and encourage sustainable transportation in the province. The Clean Air Foundation is the national delivery partner for this program, while Clean Nova Scotia is the provincial delivery agent.

It's redundant. The vehicles built today are, like with most things now, built in that throw-away mindset, contain more plastics, electronics and other BS. I drive a '93 Chevy Silverado, Fuel mileage for new and old trucks is statistically the same. If you follow up on some of the claims here you may think the auto industry has a hand in it. It feels like it. Build the new ones like you built them in decades previous and maybe we'll consider it... Right now it would feel like I was trading down.
